Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Some features require verifying your email, phone, and government ID, and admin approval before listing.

Under You is a venue that connects owners and renters. We are not the owner, renter, buyer, or seller of any item, and we do not take possession of items. Rental agreements are between the owner and renter directly.

• Owners must accurately describe items, have the right to rent them, and provide them in the condition advertised.
• Renters must use items as intended, return them on time and in the same condition, and cover damage beyond normal wear.
• Bookings are confirmed when the owner accepts the request.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Renters pay the rental total plus any delivery fee and a security deposit. Under You charges owners a service fee (currently 10% of the rental subtotal). Deposits protect owners against loss or damage and are handled per the booking. Payouts are released to owners after completed rentals and paid on a regular schedule.

You may not list or rent illegal, recalled, stolen, counterfeit, or unsafe items, or weapons. You may not harass, defraud, or infringe others, post objectionable content, or circumvent the platform or its payments. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

You retain ownership of the content you post and grant Under You a licence to host and display it to operate the service. Reviews must be honest. Members can report content and block other users; we review reports and act, typically within 24 hours, and there is zero tolerance for abusive behaviour or objectionable content.

Cancellation and return expectations are shown at booking. If an item is returned late or damaged, the deposit may be applied. If owner and renter cannot resolve an issue, either party may open a dispute and our team will help mediate.

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Under You is not liable for the acts or omissions of users, the condition or safety of items, or indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You may stop using Under You and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
